This Retro GP March STP T-shirt is part of the new range of Retro Grand Prix classic badge T-shirts. Featuring logos from famous names in motorsport, these T-shirts are perfect for those with a passion for classic grand prix racing! The T-shirt itself is made from 100% Cotton Jersey and has a high quality finish. This Retro GP T-shirt has a March STP logo printed across the chest.

March engineering was founded by Max Mosley, Alan Rees, Robin Herd and Graham Coaker in 1969. March's Formula One effort initially looked promising, when they supplied a March 701 to the Tyrrell team in 1970. In 1971 March introduced the 711, which was made famous by its 'tea-tray' front wing. The STP sponsored cars scored no wins, but Ronnie Peterson was runner up in the championship, after taking four second places.

Extract from our Formula 1 and Motorsport catalogue MA20 - October 2010

Right now we're going through somewhat of a golden era in Formula One with racing that is as close and exciting as it's ever been. But for some of us the glory days were always yesterday, when the cars got closer to one another than they do today and when the characters who drove them seemed as wild and erratic as the machines they piloted.

It is with this in mind that we were thrilled to be offered this new range of T-shirts that celebrate the history of Formula One. There are sixteen teams currently featured in the range, teams that will be familiar to all enthusiasts of the sport. Names like Hesketh, Brabham, BRM, March, Cooper, Leyton House, Wolf, Vanwall, Tyrrell and Shadow.

The list of drivers who have driven for these teams reads like a 'Who's Who' of the sport. Think Moss, Brooks, Hill, Hunt, Scheckter, Senna, Stewart, Peterson, Brabham, Fittipaldi, Piquet and so on.

We think the range is terrific, with top quality print work applied to 100% Cotton T-shirts. Rumour is that there will be more teams and garments to follow. We can't wait.

But, there is one thing we have to point out. The logos that appear on these shirts are applied for decorative purposes only. They do not imply an association with any of the teams in question. The shirts are not endorsed or approved by any third party and the logos are not used in a "trade mark sense" to suggest a source of origin. We thought you should know, just in case there's any confusion!
