Benetton B188 - Silverstone Test 1990 - #19 M. Hakkinen 1:43

Minichamps has released a 1:43 diecast model of Mika Hakkinen's Benetton B188 test car from 1990. Mika Hakkinen tested this Benetton B188 at Silverstone in 1990. At this point in his career, the Finn had shown huge potential in the British Formula 3 Championship. This was picked up by Benetton team manager Peter Collins, who was known for his ability to spot talented young drivers. A Benetton drive never materialised for Hakkinen, but his F1 opportunity came in ‘91 when Collins took over Team Lotus.
