the detail is fantastic. very nice work, i think though i should have waited for the 1:18 brazilian grand prix car though. the only problem i can find in my car is that the mirror are wonky and the right is about 3-4mm lower than the left. but i will try and bend it up a bit...

A high quality, highly detailed model of a very highly detailed car (TopGear magazine's Racing C.O.T.Y, no less!). The only faults I have found are that the aerodynamic details are delicate, and that the very shiny silver paint means that you can see the edges of the stickers, but only close-up. On mine, the left front wheel does not touch the surface, possibly sue to something being bent. Otherwise brilliant - as you'd expect for £60! It's one of those cars that's 'visually engaging'. The more you look at it, the more you see, and the more you see, the more you look at it.

There will surely never be a more dramatic conclusion to a Formula One World Championship than there was in 2008. The championship changed hands three times in the last two laps, with the final outcome not decided until the very last corner of the year!
It was a terrific season for us, the fans. Lewis started off confidently, winning from pole in Australia but, as the year progressed, the championship lead changed from Raikkonen to Lewis, to Massa, to Lewis.
After Singapore, Lewis looked to be in a comfortable position. His lead was reduced to five points after Japan, but then went back up to seven after China. Lewis went to Brazil in exactly the position he had been in the previous year. Not a good omen! But he stuck to it and with a little luck secured the championship.
A lot of great driving but, as Ron was fond of saying in his post-race chats with Lewis, he had a great car too. And in the MP4/23, he did.
Minichamps’ 1:18 replica was out before Christmas, but our stock is now running low so it won’t be around for much longer. It is also currently still available in 1:43, but as a World Championship winner it will always be a very popular replica.
