Halfway through the 2007 Chinese Grand Prix, we were thinking about the advertisements we would run to celebrate Lewis’s championship victory.
However, we all know what happened next, and won’t rake it all up again here.
More significant than the tightening of the championship, however, was the fact that Kimi Raikkonen notched up the Prancing Horse’s 200th Grand Prix victory in the race. The achievement had ‘Mattel Special’ written all over it, and sure enough they have produced a 1:18 presentation to commemorate their double century.
The good news is that the replica comes complete with all the correct aero pieces that Ferrari ran with in Shanghai. It also comes on a metal base plate which lists all of Ferrari’s 200 Grand Prix victories.
It is a limited edition of 5,000 pieces, which was a nice surprise for us, as originally the limited edition number was slated to be 7,200.
