Extract from our Diecast Monthly Magazine BR65 - March 2009

At the start of 2008 Mattel announced its new Michael Schumacher Ferrari Championships collection; a series of five cars, each commemorating the Grand Prix in which he won that year’s world championship.

The 2000 Japanese GP, 2001 Hungarian GP, 2002 French GP and 2003 Japanese GP Ferraris have now been released. The car from Belgium in 2004 is expected to be released shortly.

Each replica is limited to 5,555 pieces, and these replicas are much better quality than the cars that were originally released by Mattel in those years; the suspension, cockpit, bargeboards, body panels, wheels... they are all improved.

But, on the downside, they are expensive and these models don’t come with a driver figure. Still, they are truly impressive pieces, and if you want the best Schumacher cars you can buy for your collection, you have just found them. Four down, one to go!
